Stayed up until neither Cicely or I could keep our eyes open last night watching a few episodes of Eureka. We are on season 4.0 and it has been really good so far even though it's a little bit different than seasons prior.
For example the start of the show sorta reminds me of Firefly or something, but not if that makes any sense. Jack Carter recaps what has happened and what is going on currently to bring the audience up to speed.
The citizens of Eureka seem to be running into the same predicaments which is awesome, but in parallel with the problem they initiated by going through a wormhole to the 40's and bringing someone back, all though not on purpose.
No matter, the show has not went downhill or anything and its still awesome - I mean heck, we are totally addicted. Problem really is the fact we are not looking forward to season 5.0 being the end of it all. It will then be time to find something to fill the TV time void.
Lumbar
I guess I must have over done it a bit the last couple days because I am really paying for it right now in the form of some really bad back pain. My lumbar area has had issues for many years and last year was pretty crappy for it as well.
The first part of this year it started to feel a lot better week by week so like a fool I assumed it was getting better and that I was done with the problem for the most part. Guess my body had other plans eh!
It sucks because I really can't take anything to help it as it's mostly a nerve that is being pinched while the area is inflamed. I have been told by back doctors that it will prolly never improve I just have to learn how to avoid screwing it up.
I could try the shots they put into your back that are said to last as many as 6 months or longer each time but I am a little hesitant about that for many reasons. For starters it requires a big ass needle be put in your back, only after you have had an IV needle in your arm. Me not being much of a needle guy does not care much for that plan, but sooner than later I may have to give it a try possibly.
Virginia City Race
The big motorcycle race is going on up at Virginia City this weekend as well. I did not even realize it was already that time of the year. It's an awesome race and would have been cool to see them all tear through town at the start. Maybe next year we can go up and check it out for a few hours.
I have been asked many years to be on the track letting racers know where to go and so on. I had friends that use to run the race but most work it now because if you can't race it, it's still a great time being out in the action and a part of it all. Plus if you have never been at the start of a desert race it's awesome hearing hundreds of bikes firing up.
Good luck to everyone racing, helping and spectating this weekend. I hope the entire event goes off without a hitch as it always seems to.
Anyway
That is really all for today's entry as I don't see there being anything of excitement to rabble about. My butt is planted on the couch resting, Cicely left to go window shopping a bit and get out of the house and prolly away from me being in pain. I can't blame her plus it will do her good to get out for a few hours.
For-reals this time, enough outta me for one drawn-out entry. Time to get up and stretch my back a little before the next kick-back and chill-out session on the couch. Wish me luck for a speedy recovery and right back at you from me if you are doing anything other than enjoying this awesome weather outside.
Dam I love it the most when it's in the 80's outside and I have so many things I wanna do that are now all put on hold for a couple weeks. Hopefully days mot weeks though. Stoopid lumbar issues screwing up my time off!
Photo: Another cool springtime shot. This is one of the trees in the backyard that is full of buzzing bees this time of year. It's awesome to listen to them all buzzing and working away!
