1st Anniversary

First things first; Happy 1st anniversary to my beautiful, talented, patient and loving wife Cicely (aka Cizzle). We have been together 15 years today, married for 1 and it just keeps getting better everyday. I think I am extremely fortunate to have found such an amazing person who wants to share her life with me - through the good, bad and uncertain we seem to always keep our heads above water so long as we openly communicate and work as a team. No mountain has seemed to big thus far, and I believe we both plan to not let one defeat us.

So with that and without getting all personal and mushy on my simply little blog I just wanted to say Happy Anniversary Cizzle, it has been an awesome 15 years and the first year of being married has been just as great - who says happiness ends with marriage? Sheesh! I have to disagree completely. Anyway, love you lots and I look forward to many, many more!

Stoopid Weather

Ok I mean really, it's the second week of April, the trees are flowering, bulbs are starting to pop up in the back yard reaching for the sunshine and the lawn is just itching to turn a nice shade of green. But no, mother nature had one last surprise for us today. We woke up to snow, and a decent amount of it. Nothing we will have to shovel (yet) but enough to say "what the hell"?

Myself as well as most others on my street have been watering our lawns which means our irrigation systems are on and in full force. So I hope mine does not freeze up and burst. Not only is it quite a few bucks to replace the stupid valve, but more importantly it's a shxt-ton of work that I really do not feel like doing. Lets hope for the best and it wont happen and I can just sit back and enjoy this last little sprinkling of winter before the hot days of summer are upon us.

Workin' Hard

Stayed up pretty late last night working on prepping parts for Cicely's big event that goes live this Wednesday. Everything from drilling and sanding to gluing and adding eyelets. Its a lot of work to be honest and as much as I hate to admit it, my fingers and back are actually sore from it. How funny is that? No matter she stayed home today so she could get even more of them done. She has a massive parts delivery that should show up this afternoon and that will keep her busy for most of the rest of the week if not longer.

It was a lot of fun helping her actually. I started and 8 or 9 in the morning and pretty much worked the entire day on it. She did also, and even managed to go to the grocery store, make dinner, do the dishes and laundry. I mean really, what a friggin' amazing person she is - I am so lucky in many ways and it makes me smile just thinking about her awesomeness!

Melt

I think that is about it for today. Time to get back into it and get some more work done on my current game so I don't get behind. With my team moving in a couple weeks to the South side of the building it will waste nearly a week of development time that will be nearly impossible to make up on the tail end of development so I am trying to stay in front of the eight-ball, you should too! Have a great Monday and don't let it get you down, there is always Tuesday to start over and try again.

Photo: Crazy ass weather, I mean really - snow in April? C'mon mother nature - not cool! At least the roads are only wet, but as you can tell since you cant see the mountains in the distance - more snow is coming!
