Today will be a short post, yea I know I say that all the time then the next thing you know you have missed your favorite show because you were so deep into reading my rabble. I completely understand and appreciate that to the fullest.
Really I am only trying to sum them up a bit on days that I don't have a decent topic or have the time to spend writing. I just want to always get something posted, but you already knew that.
Senior Citizens
First, this is not going to be a rant about seniors bad driving or moving slow in the isles. Both of which are real problems at times although its kinda fucked up whether we think so or not. Not to mention I know a few that could still whip your ass.
Most fought in wars for the rights we have today or protested as one voice for common goals (no I am not referring to the dam hippies).
We owe them gratitude and consideration for that at the very least. Whether we like it or not, we will all be there, standing in their shoes one day and we can only hope that there is not some young whipper-snapper trying to run us off the road because we are doing 52 in a 55 mph zone.
Parents
One of the harder things I have had to deal with, as most will at some point, is aging parents. Most look up to their parents and see them in a certain light with respect and that natural bond.
The problem arises when the day comes that they may not have a significant other to lean on or maybe some unexpected health issue turns their world upside down. It's not only hard for them but its hard for us, their children, to watch it all unfold and to reach out and take the reins from them, ever-so-gently.
Even more difficult is stepping up and becoming the responsible one. No matter what you do or say you will always be their kid and they will think that they always know best, even when they don't, which unfortunately starts to be the case more often as things progress around them with technology advancements and so on.
No, I have not figured out the solution to any of this yet and I don't think there ever will be a perfect one. All we can do is our best and take it day-by-day.
That's About It
I think that is about it for today. I have been fighting a crashing Pc for the majority of my workday which has been little to no fun as one would expect. It really puts a damper on doing work to progress through the day when you are rebooting and running maintenance for the majority of it. Hopefully the problem is figured out sooner than later, this crashing every 30 minutes or so is really starting to piss me off. Time to hit the gym and rid my body of this built up toxic-frustration!
