Stolen iPhone Case

Yesterday afternoon I was pleased to see that I had received a Gmail message that one of two of my initial Apple orders was going to be showing up and waiting for me at my doorstep when I got home after school was over for the day.

Unfortunately by the time I got home it was fairly late but I saw my package sitting there stuck just slightly underneath the doormat so that it would not blow away from the strong wind. I was happy to see it had not blown away. So I picked it up and noticed right away how light it was. It also had tape along the top and look like it had been resealed. Hmm this is not a good sign.

Once inside I put my stuff down, gave Oggy some scratches behind the ears and proceeded to open the opened package. As expected the light package was the result of an empty package. Okay, so it still had the shipping form inside of it but no sign of my $50+ iPhone 6 Plus case that I ordered.

I checked the websites, UPS and Apple to verify what was sent and it was only my black leather case and not Cicely's rose colored leather case. Well that is good that we at least only "lost" one.

Cicely got on the phone right away and called Apple to see what we can do, if anything or if we have to go through UPS and figure it out. As luck would have it Apple was on top of it and told Cicely that she would just need to give them the information about the order, the package contents or lack there-of and the condition of it.

They then setup a brand new order in the system and told her that I should be receiving an email within 24 hours regarding the status. This morning I had the email in my in-box and it stated that they had shipped me out another case, free of charge of course and no questions asked otherwise. Heck I was planing to have to do all this paperwork and send photos of the package and so on. Nope, nothing of the sort, they took awesome care of me and the customer service was top notch!

Closing

In closing we have one more case showing up today and that will be Cicely's so I hope that it arrive safely and that my next one will as well. I mean I order a ton of shxt all year long and have it delivered with no problems. My mail guys and UPS or FedEx know where to stash it by now so this was out of the norm for us to have happen.

I should also mention that the way it was opened would not have been from a machine snagging on it or something. It was perfectly perforated and then taped like a 3 year old did it.

Smoke

Real quick update; the smoke is so dam thick again today that it almost hurts to breath when outside. This means no bike ride for me and I was not able to hit the gym today either which really sucks.

Maybe I will have some time tonight and I will be able to get on the treadmill for a little cardio action. I feel kinda guilty and shxtty not being able to ride all week.

As we drive home tonight it's raining a little bit so maybe that will mellow out some of the smoke and more importantly put out the fires in California!

Anyway

I think that is about it for today. I will continue to order stuff as I always do as I think it will all be just fine as it always has been and that this is a unique occurrence.

To the asshole piece of shxt that stole the case I say fuck you and fuck yourself! I have a feeling that workers my know what the Apple packages look like when there are a ton of them coming through for a newly released item. This could also potentially alert them to who might be getting a new phone delivered and give them the opportunity to steal them.

If that is the case I sure hope that those fuckers get found and busted for what they are doing.
