Little Past Half

It's the middle of the week and the weekend is getting that much closer for us this week. We decided, a bit on a whim, that we would take off this coming Friday, possibly Monday as well. I put in for Monday, Cicely has not yet because hers will depend more on her game schedule. If necessary I can at least bring my laptop home and work on my teams year end reviews. The deadline is quickly approaching so I need to get on it.

Wildfires

So the smoke died down a little overnight but I am certain that it will pickup, or should I say thicken up, later today as it has been doing the past couple weeks. Not on for selfish reasons but because of homes, animals and so on in its path as well as the firefighters working, I hope they get it under control soon and put out so they can begin the cleanup part of it.

I guess they caught the guy that started it, not sure if he is the only one or not. I did not read the full story that a friend posted on Facebook because it will just piss me off that much more.

I don't understand what goes through someones messed up head when they decide that it's a good idea to intentionally start a wildfire like that and assume they will not be caught. They pretty much always catch them it seems. Heck starting any kind if open range, out of control fire for that matter makes zero sense to me.

Because of the fires still blazing my rides for the week have not started yet and my weekly goal of 50 miles is already behind schedule. Easily made up of course, 50 miles over the course of a week is a pretty easy goal. The only time it really gets messed up and crammed into a couple days vs 7 days is if the weather gets out of hand in some way.

Six Plus

So I received an email today that my new phone is on it's way and expected to arrive a day early, sweet! The only downside is that we have to run home to get it now so it's not left outside for someone to take. I could probably just have it dropped over the fence or left at a neighbors house - that is if any of them would be home at that time.

They also offer the option of changing the delivery date so that it's delivered on Friday. The con to that is they charge $5 for the option and I'm not sure if I am 100% willing to pay $5 for that.

Although the more I think about it, it would cost almost that much in gas to drive home and back to work to pick it up after delivery, plus miss either an hour and a half of work or use lunch to take care of it? Hmm, the $5 fee is starting to look a little more appealing.

I guess I better bounce my new thoughts on the delivery and it's options off Cicely and see what she thinks. More than likely she will be the one running home.

Oh also, the case that was stolen last delivery - well my new case should be here today which will be cool. Ready and waiting to hold onto my new phone. Let's hope that it makes it here this time and did not grow legs like the last order. Thankfully Apple was 100% cool about it and simply sent me out a replacement - no questions asked!
