She slept the majority of the day yesterday, poor kiddo was exhausted from being in pain all day and trying to be the happy little girl that she usual is. Cicely said that she slept a ton after they got home around 10:00 AM and then took naps and was not totally interested in eating because she was so tired from everything.
When I got home from work she was again sleeping and had been for about 45 minutes so I did not even get to see her and visit although I always sneak in some kisses and tell her that I love her even though she is sound asleep. I went for a bike ride for nearly 50 minutes and when I came back she was again asleep on the couch. I asked Cicely if she had been sleeping the entire time that I was gone and I guess she was for the most part but had woken up to have a quick bottle then she dozed back off to a angelic snooze as she always does.
Cycling
So last night I went for a really good ride for 50 minutes and ride just over 13 miles which was great. There was a decent amount of wind but it was going in a direction that did not fully screw up my ride or piss me off. Okay it did piss me off because it's wind and I hate it.
Tonight I was going to take the night off riding and chill but because my day was 100 miles an hour and I figured I would be able to still hit the gym early afternoon it was not in the cards.
So tonight when we get home I will get changed and head out the door and do some spinning around the neighborhood. I may skip on hill climbing and rest my quad muscles a bit and go for some distance and flat first. No crazy distance, more along the lines of 8-15 miles will be good enough.
Oh and real quick yesterday I was able to crush a couple of my personal best record times climbing a few hills I like to workout on. I was really stoked about it and actually I still am! Nearly a minute faster on one of them which is crazy. I know it does not sound like much but I would have been stoked over seconds faster much less nearly a minute!
Adjourned
OK with that I am going to call this post complete and rest my eyes for a few on the way home from work. Almost the end of the week already and I am looking forward to the weekend! I would like to try for an 85 mile ride to hit my goal for the September Grand Fondo Challenge #9 that I once again entered on Strava thinking that it is "a great idea" and will help motivate me even more before winter decides to start coming around to take over the nice warm weather.
Photo: Cool photo, well I thought it was a cool photo, that I snapped before work today. Nothing else really to take one of an I suppose I was assuming the grass is always greener on the other side so why not snap a shot of an area that it truly was.
