I was able to do the entire out and back in just over an hour which includes a break for a few to eat a quick energy thing, guzzle some water and rest my legs. All in all it was a really good ride. I was worried it would be hot because I went around noon, but it stayed mostly in the mid to high 80's so it was totally bearable.
Giggles
So the most important news of the day is that Zoey giggled for Cicely. They say that they will start to do this around the 3 month mark and that means that she is right on schedule, actually a little bit ahead of schedule. It was the cutest thing and actually made us both look at one another and really enjoy the moment - yea I know, sounds cheesy but once you are a parent you will understand. I would have said the same thing before having her.
Whats more is that today Zoey graduated from her newborn diapers to her size 1 diapers. Again, right on schedule of not a little ahead. We probably could have taken her out of the newborns a little sooner but she is small so we were able to use up the last 15 or so that we had before switching her to the size 1 diapers.
At the same time she is now in her 3-6 month clothes so Cicely had to go through all of Zoey's stuff and find the things that would not fit her anymore for sure, then wash stuff that she will start wearing. It's fun because she can start wearing little pants and dresses and that sort of thing now instead of being in the little onsies all of the time like she has been. I doubt she cares, but for us it's exciting but sad at the same time to see her growing so fast.
Anyway
That will do it for me for this entry. I need to get outside and mow the lawn. We have family stopping by to visit Zoey for a little while so I would like to be able to get that done and come in and visit them as well while they visit her. Until tomorrow, I hope you had a great weekend and are ready to kick some ass this coming work week!
Photo: Yes please, pick up after your fuzzy kids on the trails. It's not as fun as you think it is for everyone to step in, ride through or dodge.
