Mid-Point

So it's the middle of the workweek once again and I am not sure where the first part of the week went, yes "once again". It has been quite the whirlwind between things going on at work, then missing a day of work yesterday for school. Doing so always makes the following day a bit hectic for the first half at the very least.

There has been so much going on with out platform changing, developers dabbling in the new arena and learning the dos and don't dos, pros and cons compared to our platform that is end-of-life. No to mention I was here at the company when we went through this very same change several other times and many of the same issues resurface naturally.

Most of it makes my head hurt while other parts of it I have to really be careful with otherwise they will tend to make my blood boil out of frustration. Because on many of the topics I have essentially "been there done that" it's hard to not reflect back on the past and steer us the correct direction. The reason I don't do this all the time is because there may be something new and improved we can work from this go-round and if not, another lesson learned.

New Bike

So today I am expecting a phone call from the bike shop to tell me that my clip-less shoes are in and I can come down and get fitted for the new pedals. I have not heard from the at the time that I am writing this entry so hopefully I will before the day is over. If not, I will have to take care of it tomorrow I suppose. Not a huge deal really, its just that the bike is paid for and I am itching to give it a try one day and try to not injure myself in the process.

I did put in a nice order with Fox Racing today to get myself some water bottles for the bike, fingerless gloves and a few other things I don't have for the road bike scene. I also need to go to this local bike shop down the street that carries the helmets that I am interested in. First I plan to check the shop that I do all my business with and see if they can get me one. They did not come up as a dealer but I plan to check first anyhow.

OK

I think I will end the post here for today and call it good. I have a lot to get done but figured I would take a few moments and get some words down before the day ran away from me any more than it already has managed to. Hopefully your week is treating you fairly and you are progressing nicely through it. I am looking forward to the weekend and doing some more mountain biking and of course spending some time with the family - hopefully in the pool if all goes well!

Photo: This stuff is called Scratch, sort of a weird name but it works really good as a pre-workout drink. It's a little bit on the expensive side for what it is, but less expensive and better than say a bottle of Gatorade or similar.
