So it's up and out of bed and back to work one more time before we get a couple days rest for the weekend. This week actually flew by pretty good compared to last week, which was a short week, which means it was a long week. Not sure why that happens it just always does.
Today my schedule looks much better than it has the rest of the week so maybe that is why the week went by so fast. Having meetings back-to-back or going to school or just having a lot of things going on sure does make time fly. Today, thankfully my calendars look really good and I don't have a lot on them that are required most things are optional which is a good sign for the day.
New Toys Are Fun At Any Age
Today I am going to take a drive out to the bike shop around lunch or a little after, maybe mid-afternoon if I can wait that long to eat, to pick up my new Garmin Edge 810 bike computer. My new Laser helmet will be in as well and I am totally stoked about that and can't wait to get it. Oh, I also I need to pick up some more tubes for the road bike and that type of stuff.
Otherwise I don't think I have much else I need to get for quite some time for the bikes. Other than maintenance and things like tubes and stuff I think I am doing pretty good for now. That is a good thing, after all, I have spent so much damn money the past month on this new hobby I need to take a little break from hitting the bank account so hard.
I mean it's mostly used to it from Kart racing, motorcycles and RC, but this has been a lot of stuff all in a much shorter time. My goal now is to inflate those accounts back to where they should be! And in reality there are a few more things that I would like to do to the bike, most of which will probably have to wait until this winter or at least more towards the end of summer. Upgraded derailleur is the big one that I would like to do, but between $800 and $1200 it can wait.
Kiddo
Zoey has done great this past week and is already proving to me why parents say to enjoy your kids because they grow up so fast, they really do! She has been holding her head up a lot better, looking around more and even playing with her toys to keep herself entertained while in the MamaRoo swing. She does yell at them every so often and give a few hard yanks or grabs but I think that is probably something she gets from me, getting annoyed with them not doing exactly what she would like them to do ha ha.
Hang in there little one, soon enough you can tell us all what you think and how you feel with your own beautiful voice! I for one can't wait to hear it and I know that Cicely is excited for that day as well. Only bad part is that it will mean you are still growing so fast :( It's OK, keep on growing baby girl, we love you and want to watch you sprout into something great!
Clocked Out
As crazy as it sounds I think that will do it for this entry. I thought for sure that by Friday I would easily have lots more to rabble about. Between school, a busy week at the game studio and life in general but I don't. I suppose that means all things worked out and I will be able to transition nicely into the weekend.
Photo: My newest toy I have been rambling about yesterday and a little bit today. I am stoked to start using it and have already upgraded my Strava account as well "just in case". Might not need the pro account but some of the data will be cool to see and its not like I am in a contract, I can essentially cancel it after the first year if I want.
