School; Day 1

This morning starts off just a little bit earlier so I can get dressed into my workout clothes and get out to the garage for a quick morning cardio session on the treadmill. Because I wont be able to hit the gym today and will be sitting a good portion of the day I needed to get in as much as I could before the day truly started. Otherwise to get to my 10,000 steps for the day it's not easy, and to try and cram them all in at the end of the day kinda defeats the purpose.

While it always feels good to get up and get a workout out of the way for the day, well cardio at least, it tends to always remind me of a few years back when I was doing 365 days in a row of cardio "just because". Getting up, taking a pee break and then immediately hitting the treadmill for a minimum of 20 minutes (that was my rule) became extremely routine. Admittedly there were many days that I had to forcefully, but mentally, drag myself to get out there and get 'er done. In the end I accomplished the goal and am still bragging about it today. Most do not understand that commitment, as easy as it sounds, try it some time and you will soon see.

No matter, my point to this opening paragraph is nothing more than the fact I am up and getting ready for the day a little earlier and as I type this I am enjoying a 14 oz. cup of my morning pour over coffee along with some egg whites and turkey sausage - yum!

Managing

Today and tomorrow I will be in a class that goes over managing and supervision. I think that it should be a really good class, I just hope that we don't have to do a ton of group exercises. To be honest I am getting a little bit burned out with those activities. I want to mostly just take notes, listen and ask questions and interact that way.

Having everyone interact more and as a group though is the teaching style of 95% of the instructors up at the UNR programs I am taking. Again, not that this is a bad thing, but between the classes that I have been doing at work, the classes at UNR as well as those that are coming up at work that I know for a fact will require role playing and interaction I am ready to put them all behind me. It has been a long road so far and its time to move on.

Unfortunately for me, I missed a couple classes for the birth of Zoey and will not have my 2 degrees completed until later in the Fall so long as everything works out with the schools schedule. My friend and co-worker will be graduating after the class this week which is very cool. I am jealous, I wish I was going to be able to say I am done - ah, all in due time, all in due time.

"Nuff

Otherwise there is not much else that is going on today and I would imagine that not a whole lot of excitement will come up to give me more to rabble about. That is OK actually, I am over 600 entries now and still have not missed a single day. In reality as I have mentioned in the past, I am probably closer to 1000 because I started all of these in the iOS application called Day One, but I wanted there to be a way that they were not stuck on an iOS device only. So I turned here to Blogger and have been typing daily on here instead.

Tomorrow will probably be more of the same for my entry unless some earth shattering news comes up between now and then - lets hope not, well unless its me or Cicely somehow winning millions of dollars and being able to retire comfortably right now and just focus on raising Zoey. OK back to reality and back to getting ready for school. It's nearly Friday for those of you that live your life based solely on the weekends - that should be something to be happy about - enjoy!

Photo: Love this stuff! The best part besides it being refreshing is that I can drink one and it has zero affect on my caloric intake for the day - BONUS!
