Thankfully once up and looking out back it was only windy and dark. Had it been snowing along with those gusts we would have been in for some serious shoveling today. Well I would have anyway. Cicely is not allowed to shovel or lift anything as far as I am concerned so I have to keep a close eye on her. She is really stubborn that way and always wants to help. I totally love and appreciate that but not when she is pregnant and we only have 5 weeks to go before baby makes her big appearance in our lives.
Speaking Of Baby
So speaking of baby, last night we decided to go to Babies 'R Us because they had a great sale on diapers. The goal was to get 2 packs of diapers that are normally $42.99 apiece but with our coupons they were only $29.99 apiece with a maximum of 2 per coupon.
We picked up the diapers as planned but then there was a deal on free baby wipes if you purchased 2 Procter & Gamble items. The diapers fell into that category so we were able to get free baby wipes as well. This led us over to other isles that we were not intending on going to because I have a bad habit of grabbing stuff. Well some things don't change and more things were then added to the cart.
We ended up adding, or I should say "I ended up adding", a foot stool that goes in front of the lazy boy recliner that helps you to reach the floor when rocking baby. I also picked up some washcloths that were really cute and actually pretty inexpensive, as well as a onesie that has some cool writing on it about punk rock.
There were a few other things that I can't remember offhand but all-in-all it was still well worth spending the extra money because of all of the great sales. I think all said and done we ended up spending about $200 which is not bad considering we went in to initially only spend about $120. Plus it's not like it's random crap, it's stuff that we are in need of.
Goodbye Beetle
So Sicily has to go into work today to catch up a little bit on one of the game she is developing. After work she has to go over to the Volkswagen dealership and turn in her VW beetle. She has had the car for just over three years and it's finally time to turn it in.
I know that she will be sad because we have went to a lot of places in that car. All over the West Coast from San Francisco to Los Angeles as well as all over town just running around with Oggy. It's all good though, her new car will be great and even better when baby gets here.
Enjoy
Okay I think that about does it for today. Enjoy your Saturday, whatever it is you're doing. I am playing with setting up my GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition as well as just sort of bumming around. Later on I will go pick Cicely up after she drops-off the Beetle at VW. Otherwise it should be a nice mellow Saturday for me. Who knows maybe I will get a wild hair up my ass and start building my 3-D printer finally, that's a strong maybe by the way so don't go reading into it. I have motocross to watch today after all.
Photo: Last photo of Cicely's 2010 VW Beetle. She turned it in to the dealership today and will start driving her 2014 KIA Soul now - cool!
