Into the night it actually woke both Cicely and I are up around 2:30 AM. Around that time the wind really started blowing and making the rain sound like someone was hitting the window with a mist of water from a garden hose.
Discontinued most of the night and into early morning. By the time we were up and ready for work the sun was shining and it was only wet outside, no more rain. From the looks of the mountains that may be all we will get for today.
But that is the one crazy thing about our valley is that if you don't like the weather just wait 5 minutes and it usually changes in one way or another. Although most of the time that saying only works during the summer months it seems to work near spring as well.
School
Yesterday was another day of class as I mentioned. I was in a human resources training class yesterday that I was interested in taking as both an elective or potentially one of my core classes if I end up going for the dual certificates, that being one in supervisory management and the other in human resources.
The class was really good and well worth my time once again. I am actually really surprised by the amount of content and the amount of stimulation in these classes. I was not sure what to expect when I took the first one and then assumed maybe that one was just pure luck. Well as luck would have it this class was great as well so I hope the trend continues, I think it will.
Troublebaker
So yesterday at lunch I reinforced my nickname "troublebaker" when it was time for lunch. I tell you what, I could not do anything right on the UNR campus without getting in trouble, LOL.
First I got yelled at because I took my backpack into the cafeteria and had to be asked to take it back out and put it in one of the backpack cubbies is by the door. First off that is completely ridiculous because what if you have a computer or something else in there and some jackass takes it? Real smart UNR.
I did conform and put my backpack in a cubby but I took my valuables with me that were worth some money. You know things like my MacBook Air 11", my wallet with credit cards and ID and things of that nature. I still can't believe they expect you to put that stuff in and unlock area.
Once that was all taken care of and I grabbed my to go boxes to go get my food in the next problem arose. The key word being "to go boxes".
I went and sat down after getting the lunch that I wanted and after about five bites into my food I was asked to leave the dining room area because anyone that has to go boxes is not allowed to eat inside of the cafeteria? What the fuck is going on at that school?
So once again I conformed to their bullshit rolls figuring it was only one day and next time I would know better. I went back to the classroom opened up my laptop and enjoyed my lunch and went on with my day. Still this morning I am laughing about the retarded rules they have in place at school. It's honestly no wonder why people are so goddamn soft nowadays.
All in all at least my free lunch was good, my stomach was full and I was able to go on with my day now knowing the rules of the cafeteria the next time I have a class on campus. I have said it a couple times already and I will probably say it again but those idiosyncrasies crack me up.
Class Cancelled
One thing that I did find out at the end of class yesterday was that my next class on March 11 has been canceled because there was not enough people signed up. While I was bummed that this happened, I am actually thankful that it did on the day that it did. The reason being is that I have an Agile certification training class that I was going to miss at work and I can now take - WOOT!
Does It
On that note I think that will have to do it for today. Lots of things to catch up on after being away from the office yesterday and getting back into the groove is not always easy after a day away midweek.
Photo: My extended studies binder logo. I know it's no BA or MBA, but it's an accomplishment I am busting my ass to achieve and I am proud to be doing.
