Walkers

Up early today so we can get our asses in the game studio, work for an hour or so and then run downtown to get to Cicely's OB/GYN appointment to checkup on babies progress and make sure momma is doing ok as well.

I know that Cicely is feeling as though her belly is going to pop right now and that there is no way in hell she can stretch anymore but I think she can. She is doing amazing so far and although not quite out of the woods yet it's just right around the corner before we are.

After today we start going to the doctor every week until baby is born. They do this to verify that everything is doing what it is supposed to the final weeks leading up to labor. It's scary for both of us the closer that it gets, but exciting at the same time. It will be crazy to have this new person in our lives. It has only been the 2 of us forever and then the addition of our awesome fuzzy kid Oggy about 7 years ago. Should be a whole new experience if nothing else that's for sure!

Dead

So last night was the start of the second half of the season for The Walking Dead. It was a weird episode actually because it was flashing back a lot. At the same time it was really good and kept me on my toes with several close calls with Carl and walkers in the subdivision him and his dad spent a few nights.

Speaking of Carl, he is sure a little ass the majority of the episode. It's completely understandable given what he has been through and the current situation. It was just a little odd to see his character have so much attitude and hate for his dad. In the end it worked out though and he got his head screwed back on straight. Even was able to meet back up with Michonne in the end. I think that made everyone happy. Now they just need to find the rest of their crew, family really. Yeah, find the rest of the family.

Grandma's Boy

So I kept hearing about this movie called "Grandma's Boy" from several of the young programmers at work. It was never available on Netflix so I had not been able to watch it.

Finally a few weeks back it was on cable so I recorded it. I kept putting off watching it until yesterday when I decided it was time to get it out of the TiVo queue.

All said and done it was your typical movie from Happy Madison productions. Meaning most of the usual actors playing some role or another. Not a great storyline and really nothing more than a turn off your brain and watch the pictures go by sort of movie.

Maybe I am simply getting too old for that humor. But if that is what will become the cult classics of the generation at the game studio then I am bummed ha ha. It cannot compare to some of the awesome movies from the 80's!

Soul

Today was the maiden commute to work for Cicely and I in her new Soul. Fun little car to drive in to be honest. I think Cicely was a little nervous though in Monday morning traffic with a new car. I can't blame her, it's always a little nerve racking getting use to a new car. So many new gauges, buttons, features and even the size. While not much bigger overall than her bug it still takes some getting use to.

When I went from having trucks to a AWD car it was really strange the first week or so. Mostly because of the height transition. I was use to seeing over cars and way ahead in traffic. In the car the most I could see was the view through the cars windows in front of me. I adapted though and she will soon as well. Now we need to get the car seat base in here next and then one into my car so we are prepared for babies big arrival anytime in the next few weeks.

Otherwise

Well that does it for today. I am still a little posses off that yesterday's entry was lost because the iPhone app crashed when I hit save. Oh well such is life.

Nice humid day today because of the rain yesterday and through the night. Low clouds in the mountain and it's looking like there may be more winter weather coming our way this week.

Hopefully not snow, I have to start school on Thursday and Friday. This class is at the satellite campus up Mount Rose a little so if we get a decent amount of snow they will cancel the class. I have already had one cancelled so I would really like to not have another cancelled.

Anyway, enough outta me for one day. Have a nice Monday and start to the week if it's your Monday as well.
