Baby Shower = Guys Day Out

Today at 1:00 is finally the big day that Cicely has both been waiting for and dreading a little. It's her baby shower day. Why in the world would an expecting mom dread a day like this you ask? Well only because the mom-to-be, Cicely is very shy when it comes to gifts and being the center if attention.

In reality she loves being the center of attention as far as I am concerned and in a good way. But I think the fact that she will be showered with gifts has her a little standoffish. I just told her to make the very best of it and go with the flow. This will be one of the only times here on out that she may be able to have this sort of fun and attention and get awesome things for baby so why not live it up!

The party is taking place over at Cicely's parents house and there are supposed to be between 20 and 30 people there. I think it is really cool and when I talk to her tonight about it she will be ear to eat smiles and thankful she took her step-mom up on the offer to have one for her and baby.

Boys Will Play

So while the moms and wives are away all of us guys are going to go hang out "somewhere". My dad called me last night and asked if I wanted to go hang out with him and his buddy Ray for a few hours and I was more than happy to take him up on the offer of course.

No idea as I write this where we will be going because my dad still was not entirely sure when he called me last night. My guess would be that we hang out at one of the local sports bars or something, have some drinks and lunch and go from there.

It's no "pin the sperm on the egg" type of event like the girls will be doing but I think that it will be a good time none the less. Not to mention it could very well be one of my last days out for a few months. Once baby is here both Cicely and baby will need all of the support that I can offer the both of them.

Speaking of baby we still need a middle name! I don't know why but for some reason the middle name is kicking our butts and we can't think of any one in particular that we want to use. There are several great ones we have come up with that are based off of combinations of names in the family and so on but we still have yet to find one that works perfectly and flows how we would like it to. Yea it should not be so hard. I never would have thought that it would be to be perfectly honest but it is. No matter, we will get there and figure it out soon enough and be set!

**Update: So the boys did not go out this time, some things came up and that is ok. We are going to plan to go out another weekend and have some drinks and food. Pops and I did chat on the phone about a million different things for well over an hour so that was almost just as good and is always nice to do. Whether catching up or just shooting the shxt.
