Snowed

So this morning we woke up to the white stuff blanketing the valley. Not feet of snow but inches, about 3" to be more precise. This does not mean I can sit in the house, drink coffee and enjoy it. Quite the opposite unfortunately. I had to get outside a little earlier than usual so I could dust off the cars, shovel the driveway, sidewalk and walkway as well as the side of the house by the shed where the snow likes to pile up and not melt due to the lack of sun and lots of shade in the area.

The weather guesser predict that there will be more snow and rain this afternoon. Depending on your elevation in the valley you will obviously get one or the other. I for one hope it is only rain or light snow that does not stick and accumulate to something measurable.

I have not left for work yet as I write this so unfortunately I still do not know what our commute will be like. I am hoping that it will not be too bad. Nothing sucks more than a 2 hour or longer commute to start the day off.

**Update: The commute was a piece of cake. The roads were actually a little wet and that is about it. By the time we made it over to the south side of town most everything was dry or maybe a little damp as though it rained a bit, but no sign of snow, strange. None-the-less, made it to the office in the normal time and am thankful for that.

Final Class

So as mentioned yesterday, last night was our final child birthing class. It feels really good to be able to say we are done with it but at the same time the class really helped both if us a lot. It also helped to put our minds at ease about certain unknowns. More importantly it have Cicely the reassurance and information that she needs and straight from the horses mouth at that.

The guest speaker last night was our pediatrician which was really cool. She spoke to us all for over an hour and answered questions as well. What a great class once again. Now it's time to buckle down and get ready for baby as we have been for the past 8 months. It's only six weeks or so away before Zoey is scheduled to make her grand appearance and we both cannot wait. At the same time we are scared shxt less of the life changes to follow!

If you are in the same are as me I hope you and your family have a safe commute! If you are lucky enough to be at home all day then enjoy it. But no matter what try to make the best of this Thursday and have a great day!
