School; HR Training & Development

Well today I'm up and out of the house about the normal time but with a different agenda for the day. Today I go back to school again for my next class working towards my management certificate.

This class is more of an elective because it to human resources class but I took it thinking that I may potentially go ahead and try for the human resources certificate as well. I figured why not? If I already have all of the credentials and only need for other classes once the certificate is done for management it seems like a no-brainer to go-ahead and get that certificate as well.

Headache

I am happy to report that my headache has finally calm down a little bit from yesterday. I am not sure what set it off maybe it was sitting in chairs in meetings with my shoulder shrug slightly I am not sure. All I know is that my shoulders, neck and head right above my ears was killing me most of the day and it was not being touched by aspirin.

Although still a little cramped I went ahead and ran hot water on it for a good 10 minutes while in the shower this morning. I think if nothing else that loosened it up and I should be able to focus today at school.

I am trying not to eat any more Advil today because yesterday I think I took between three to five of the damn things and that is just not good for my body. But when you are in the middle of a headache and crap like that you sort of give up and just go with what might work so you will feel better. That is exactly what I did but it didn't work.

So far today is a better day with regards to that so I am going to lean on the positivity of it feeling better and hope that it fully goes away once I forget about it and focus on class.

Indigestion

I have to mention that while I am whining about my headache poor Cicely barely had any sleep last night. She had some horrible indigestion that kept her up most of the night.

Then on top of that she has been pretty swollen because of the water retention that happens around the stage of pregnancy. From what she tells me it does not feel that great and it actually puts a lot of pressure on those areas of her body.

It is really hard for me because I want to give her a pill to fix it or just do something, anything, to make her feel better and I can't. The only thing I can do is support her and let her know that I am here for her.

This morning she seems to be in a little better spirits but I think it's just everything wearing her down. This makes me really sad but she is such a fighter and knows that the reward for all of her hard work is right around the corner, that being; baby showing up.

Campus

Speaking again of class, today I will not be at the campus I was at for the last class on the south side of town but instead the actual UNR campus. It is actually a real pain in the ass because there is no where to park and things are just a cluster fuck. Because of this, Cicely has been cool to offer to drop me off and pick me up before and after school. How awesome is she for that? Pretty damn awesome if I do say so myself. I feel like a little kid going to school again and having my mom drop me off, LOL.

Dismiss

With that I think that will be all for today. The weather is not as awesome as it was yesterday and it looks like there is a storm rolling in. Perfect weather to be in a classroom learning though.

Tomorrow it's back to work and back to the usual grind which I look forward to lately simply because I learn something new nearly every day and for me that is what makes it all worthwhile.

For everyone else have a great day and don't forget your umbrella if you are in the valley.

Photo: Really cool item Cicely's step mom bought for Zoey. It's a tooth fairy door complete with a ladder. It does not open for just anyone, only the tooth fairy.
