Heartbeat

Today is me and Cicely's first doctors appointment at the baby doctor to find out how things are going, get a quick ultra sound and hopefully get some questions answered as to what we should be doing to make life a little bit easier for her over the next 9 months.

This morning was filled with a little bit of nausea again and some dry heaving but nothing coming up for her which is good and bad. My hope is that it gets much better for her before too long, makes me feel really bad that there is not much that I can do to help her other than stay out of the way or help when asked :)

Kiddo Info

So the kiddo is 8 weeks along at this point. 1.5 centimeters long with the cutest little heartbeat. Expected due date of March 8th 2014. Its almost impossible to describe how crazy it was to see the heartbeat on that screen and know that there was something in there, growing, that we had managed to make. I cannot wait until the day comes that we get to meet the lil guy/gal and hold it in our arms, give it a big kiss on the forehead and welcome it to the family.

Until that time, we promise to take the very best care of you little one. Make sure you are well nourished and have nothing but the best care that we can provide. At 12 weeks we should be able to see a little more of you, a head, neck and spine - I am excited and cannot wait for each and every visit. You have nothing to worry about - your mom is the greatest in the world in my eyes, and you will find that out first-hand. So until I see you again in 4 weeks, sleep tight! <dad>

Otherwise

Busy meeting filled day and lots of stuff going on. Tonight we have to go by moms house to do the weekly check-in get her a shake and make her some dinner so she will eat and visit with us for an hour or so. It's always tough to do because I hate seeing my mom like this but if it brings her spirits up and makes her feel better then that is great. We enjoy seeing her every week as well, whether she remembers it or not.

Anyway, happy hump day! Hopefully the week is going good for everyone. Mine has been great for the most part and I am looking forward to info on our baby at today's appointment as well as a weekend of getting shxt done!
