So Cicely's big fashion show went off without a hitch last night and was a lot of fun to watch. I ended up riding along with my step-mom Cyndi, and we met up with Cicely's step-mom Kay, Cicely's 2 sisters Miranda and Danika as well as Miranda's friend. It was a nicely run event and there were no hiccups. A few of the models stumbled a bit and one fell in this spot that nearly everyone that slipped happened to have had it happen at.
We did not go to the after parties because by the time the event was done it was already nearly midnight and we were all pretty tired and hungry so we headed over to a local Greek Restaurant and picked up some food, then headed home and finally called it a night at just past 2:00 AM.
I think Cicely is both excited and bummed that it is over and done. Happy because she is exhausted, but sad because she had so much fun doing it all leading up to the event.
Birthday
So yea, you would think that the title of today's post would have been "Birthday" but it's not. Although it is in fact my birthday as well as moms today. We did not get any older though so that is nice - what a gift huh :).
We are not doing much, just hanging out and trying to recoup from the busy couple of weeks we have had. I need to get into the garage and do some work as well as a laundry list of other things but the day is quickly slipping away from me.
We are meeting my dad and Cyndi at their house then heading out to dinner for my birthday, probably Mexican food based on our conversations last night so that will be fun!

Yea that's, right, you just sang happy birthday to me and did not even realize it - HA! I was able to do that because its my birthday and I was told I can do what 'eva I want! :)
Blow Out The Candles
That will do it for today. I am in relaxation mode, mixed in with clock watching so we are not late getting over to meet my dad and Cyndi for dinner plans. Then hopefully back home to hang out and watch some movies. I need to fly my helicopter some more, next thing I know summer is going to be over and I am going to be sad.
No matter, I am stubborn and will still fly in the winter on days that I am able to. Hey at least I was able to give my bass some attention this morning for a solid hour or so. That was a lot of fun and felt really good to make some noise! Have a great Saturday!
