Wednesday Is Friday

Up and out of bed once again nice and early today. Was considering trying to go for a morning flight like yesterday but the sprinklers were on and the grass was still really wet so it was a no-go – bummer.

Thunder Boomers

Yesterday afternoon we had more thunderstorms and rain just as predicted plus there were emergency broadcast system alerts regarding dust storms and flash flooding. Holy cow I thought it was supposed to be the heat of summer not crazy weather season.

Today should end up being more of the same based on the weather guessers predictions. Our high should be around 102° which is a little "cooler" than yesterday, which was 104°. We are still supposed to get thunderstorms and wind later this afternoon though.

This sucks for me as well because I still have not done the lawn or anything like that as I usually would have on Tuesdays so that is on the back burner until the weather clears up enough. I may have to take care of it on one of our days off and just get it done earlier in the day before I start the garage project.

Cube Life

Well cube life is going to be more of the same today as it was mid-week last week. Today's calendar is jam-packed with nothing but meetings from the minute I walk into the studio. I have a one hour meeting followed by a one hour meeting followed by another one hour meeting followed by a half hour meeting then a department lunch that I am probably going to skip so I can make it to the gym. I don't know how I am supposed to get any game development done on days like this, ugh!

End Of Day

Tonight we head to moms to do the weekly check up on her and take her some dinner. Beforehand we need to run a few other errands which means that this day is not letting up until I walk in the door at home around 7:00 or 8:00 tonight. And even then, weather permitting, I may mow the lawn to get it out of the way - prolly not :)

Sad News

In sad news I heard that Douglas Engelbart has passed away. I honestly did not know off-hand who he was exactly until I looked it up and realized that he has been a HUGE part of our lives and day-to-day for a very long time. He was the original inventor of the computer mouse. Man, sucks when we are losing anyone, much less those with great minds like that! Thanks for all you started and I am glad you were able to see how far it has come from a simple idea!

Clear Up

Otherwise that will do it for today. I have little to no time to rabble and the time I do have I need to get some work done. There are few things worse than walking into a shxt storm of work after a vacation or a long weekend away from the studio. From the looks of it though, there may be no way around it - ahh, cube life!
