Expecting

So it was a crazy weekend filled with activities pretty much everyday, morning and afternoon then some at night. I took a nap on Sunday but otherwise we were running and running it seemed.

Plus Cicely was non-stop the past 2 weeks with other fashion shows, obligations and so on so its been even worse for her. I think she will finally catch up with herself by the end of this week - at least I hope so because she has got to be exhausted!

The Sound Of Little Feet

So the lid has pretty much been sealed on this topic for for several weeks but as of last night we have told all of the family that they will be grandparents, aunts, uncles and great grandparents.

In other words we are having a baby and Cicely is just over 5 weeks along we estimate. Wow, just saying those words and thinking that I am going to be a dad is ultra weird and surreal to be honest. I just hope that I can be a good dad and help raise an even better kid. Boy or girl will be loved the same and from day one will need to know that we are here for anything and everything they need to discuss, work through or understand.

We are a little scared having a kiddo now that we are a little older than most of our friends that have had or are having kids. I think there are benefits to every age group and we plan to do the best that we can with parenthood. I think it will be a great experience and I look forward to meeting the addition around March or April of 2014!

Cubed

So that is all I have today - the big announcement of pregnancy. Otherwise I am running late for work and have a really important meeting to get to this morning and so far it's looking as though I am going to show up a little bit late. I hate when that happens, makes me feel like such a friggin' flake!

Alright, enjoy your Monday if you, like me, are back at it and in the office. It's looking to be a busy week and I am ok with that once again because it means progress and keeps things interesting.

More news on the progression of the kiddo as we know more. All I ask for, like most anyone is a healthy, happy little one to join us in our life and home!
