Simple Sunday

So yesterday was pretty much exhausting for some reason. I am not sure if it was because we went over to moms and tried to continue to explain to her that she has to take it day by day after losing her fuzzy kid. It's still surreal to me that the little guy is gone, such a good boy.

Painting

Today I messed around for a little while in the morning on the iPad playing games, then did a little research on things for the garage, mostly the flooring because its a toss up whether I want to do the epoxy type flooring or if I will do something like the race flooring that I have in there partially now. The race flooring is really nice and holds up great but is about 6 times as expensive.

This makes it seem as though the epoxy would be the best choice but really it has it's own downsides. One being that I hear it can be really slippery. Sure you can add in some of the "grit" of various types that they sell, but I guess doing so adds issues as well. Things like once gritty areas start to wear down, they then let water seep in which can cause cracking. Or because of the grip, now it is not a surface that you want to kneel on or lay on for any length of time working on a car etc.

I will have to give it more thought and decide what the best route to go will be. I would really like to go the flooring like I have in there currently route so we will see.

Anyway, I did manage to do about 5 more hours of painting which sounds like a lot, but really all that I was able to get done was the front area of the garage above the garage door, as well as some areas that needed to be done with a brush so they are prepped when I take the big roller to the ceiling. Hopefully I can finish up the painting this week, well this weekend most likely, so I can move on to other projects or things like flying my heli's.

Summer is going to be over and I will have to wait until the weather turns to fly again - or go out and freeze my ass off, which really may not be a bad idea either since I don't mind going out in the cold.

TV

Looking forward to Dexter tonight on TV even though it's just another episode closer to the show being gone for good - boo! Should be a good one though none-the-less. We will also have an episode of the new show that has Morgan Spurlock going into different industries to find out what they are all about titled "Inside Man". From firearms to immigrant workers - so far it has been a great show.

In a couple weeks there is a new show that Joe Rogan is doing that goes by the title "Joe Rogan Questions Everything". I think will be a good show to watch as well. He is basically is taking the cameras in on different things to shed some light on the subjects at hand.

I really like him as a talk show host on his podcast as well as a TV host so I am looking forward to the show airing and the topics he questions. More on that later.

Evaporate

That will do it for this entry. Time for me to get out into the garage and either clean up for the day, or decide if I want to paint just a little bit more to get even further ahead for next week. I have 4 new black diamond plate ceiling lights that I bought at Home Depot that will need to be put up as soon as I get the ceiling done so yea, in a way it feels like this is the project that will never end. I just need to keep reminding myself how nice it will be once it is all done.
