Live Radio

Up and out of the house today so we can get to a live radio broadcast that Cicely will be a guest on. The show is The Lady Jay show on 101.3, Renegade Radio broadcasting from Reno Nevada.

Yesterday she was scheduled to be on a live stream TV show broadcast but we had to skip it because she was not feeling good and because of Nemo passing and requiring our attention to get him somewhere to be cremated and put to rest properly.

Mom

So mom is still not fully understanding what happened yesterday because of her vascular dementia. I thought she would be really upset and feel alone but I did not think that she would assume that I had taken him to the vet to get looked at and fixed and would be bringing him home at some point.

She even had neighbors looking for him, friends driving her around her neighborhood searching and so on. Really sad that she cannot remember what actually happened and that her buddy is in another place now.

We are planning to go over there again today to check on her and take her some food because I doubt she has eaten anything the past day at the very least. It's going to be really rough because we will be in a conversation that is pretty much a perpetual loop of questions and her being upset, extremely difficult but we do understand.

Has to be done no matter to make sure that she is ok, eating and so on. It's simply hard seeing a parent in this state of mind all the time. Should we have a child they will never really know their grandma, that really sucks for them both as well as us. Mom has always been a fun loving person and would love to hang out with her grand-kids. Problem is, the world is a scary place to her right now and even more-so because of the dementia and losing her fuzzy kid.

Anyway enough about that. Cizzle and I talked about Nemo more last night to work through our grieving and I am sure we will continue remembering him off and on for a very long time we truly do miss the little guy. He was only 10, and that is up to 8 years too soon for a Shih-Poo dog breed from my understanding. Scares us when we lose our Oggy one day - not an easy thing at any age or time!

Garage

Once we are done running around and checking on mom I have to get my ass back into the garage and do more painting and get things back in order. Right now the shed is jam packed with nearly everything that was around the walls or on the floor.

I also plan to go past Home Depot and get at least 4 of these black, 3 T8 bulb diamond plate fluorescent hanging lights to replace the mix-match ones I have in there now. They work pretty good, but after all of this work I think it would be nice to have them be updated, match and related. Not horribly expensive to do so either so it's worth the trouble.

Jump

Alright it's that time again to jump off this post and back into the day. It's a busy one and a little stressful at the same time so here I go - jumping into the deep end without a vest - wish me luck and have a great Saturday!
