I woke up with a crazy headache and an upset stomach from that stupid beer from Hawaii I bought the other day at Whole Paycheck for a stupid $16 For a six pack.
I don't know why it is but anything from Hawaii really screws me up! Last time we ate at a Hawaiian restaurant they served the food That I had ordered on these tobacco leaves and this weird rice etc., and it was f'n nasty. Made me so sick the next day that I swore I would stay away from that shxt for the rest of my life and I have. Well until I got a great idea to try this beer that sounded so good. Yup, yet another Hawaiian thing that is on my list of stay the hell away from.
Fuzzy Kid
So today Cicely had to take Oggy to the vet to get his check-up, get a blood draw and to get his heartguard medicine refilled. It always makes my heart drop and my stomach sink when I know he has to get a shot or get blood drawn. I know how much I don't like it and with him not understanding what is happening he generally let's out a yelp and it just breaks my heart.
On top of it Cicely is with him today and I am not there so I feel horrible that he is thinking she is the bad guy that always takes him to these places where they poke and probe him. I like it better when it's both of us there so he can feel comforted and not so nervous.
All-in-all he will be just fine and forget all about it by the time he gets home. She is going to stop and get him some soft serve ice cream at McDonald's so that will cheer him up and be a great reward for being such a good little trooper.
He always loves to go through the drive-through whether it is for us or for him so after a few licks of soft serve ice cream he will be as happy as a pig in the mud.
Cool Tool
Not all of the reviews were entirely positive with regards to my Wagner power painter pro, but I have to be honest - it was a bad ass little tool today. Not to mention I have the one that you can tilt in basically any direction and it still sprays without a single sputter.
After running about 10 gallons of pain through it if you count primer there were no problems what-so-ever. I was able to prime the garage with nearly 2 coats, then 2 coats of color in no time at all. The clean up is a little time consuming and tedious but worth it to keep tools running strong. I am really satisfied with the purchase and the new tool that I have in my arsenal.
The crappy part is that I will still have to paint around the masked areas as well as do the ceiling because it was not really a good idea to try and paint that today with the sprayer because of all the stuff that is in the way. It's still progress and that is what is important. Tomorrow the first phase of the cleanup will begin and I will do some hand touch-up - then on to other areas as well as trim around the 2 doors in the garage. Lots of work ahead but its looking better every day!

Melt Away
With that - that's going to have to do it for today. I have so much to do and not a lot of time to do it in reality. I don't want to be using the entire four-day weekend to paint and do nothing else. Not that it's a bad thing to use it for something productive like painting, but I want to relax and sort of bum around as much as I can as well.
I don't think there's any big holidays coming up for quite some time so I want to make the most of it. It's also been pretty nice and calm outside which means perfect weather for flying my helicopter.
Oh well, on the plus side once this project is done I don't have to think about it anymore and I can focus on things like flying on the weekends and just enjoy all of the hard work that has been put into the garage project
Hope your 4th of July was great and you did not cause too much trouble - I know I didn't this year - heck we were in bed by midnight.
Happy Friday!
Photo: My new Wagner Power Painter Pro pain sprayer. This thing is awesome, I am so glad that I gave it a try and did not listen to many of the bad reviews on Amazon and a couple other areas. I think the users are doing something wrong. Oh well, I am proof that it is a great too, thanks Wagner!
