Five Finger Discount

What an awesome day, sun has been shining ever since I got up and it's really nice and warm outside. People were all over the place out and about like it's the first summer day in months, when really it's been super mellow this winter. No matter very cool.

There was supposed to be snow today but it seems the weather guessers were wrong as usual but can't say I'm not happy that they were wrong though, because I am jazzed it's awesome outside.

Cizzle's Show

So Cicely was up until 1:00 AM making extra stuff for her show today at Grand Sierra Resort & Spa. Then back up again at 4:30 AM to get ready and load her VW Beetle with all of her awesome jewelry and accessories. She has got to be exhausted today after only 4 hours of sleep.

When I talked to her around noon she said the show was going really well. Actually almost too well because it was a madhouse and crazy. One thing that really sucks is some fucking asshole stole one of her pieces, luckily it was only a $5 ring and not something big and expensive still assholes.

Generally she puts those out so people that are too cheap to spend money on what they mistakingly assume is just plastic kids jewelry or just want to be able to get something for their kids without breaking the bank can still get it.

My guess is that it was most likely some parent not keeping an eye on their kid so there kid pocketed it when no-one was looking. Mix bad parenting in with the craziness of the first 2 hours of the show and things like this are bound happen. I should not be surprised it's just more shxtty parenting of 2013. Unfortunately it's a trend that is getting worse and there is really no excuse for it.

Gettin' Stuff Done

While Cicely was at her show all day I took the opportunity to get some things done that I have been meaning to do.

The one thing I finally got done was setting up my AR.Drone to work with the Fly Sky CT6 RC controller. I have to say it did not fly very well at all and actually crashed several times and pretty gnarly crashes at that. It really kind of sucks because flying it with the iPhone or iPad while not as intuitive, I never crashed or even had that many close calls for that matter, I simply had to fly a little more carefully.

Supposedly according to the documentation if the battery is really low this will happen. Problem is when I charged the battery again it charged in about 1/2 hour and usually it takes around 90 minutes for a full charge. This leads me to believe it's something else and that sucks.

If the weather is decent tomorrow I hope to try again, or i "may" try tonight one more time in the garage and see if it goes all crazy as fuck again. I need to look at the on board SD card that I was using to record video of the flight and see if by chance it recorded anything. If nothing else I may have to go back to the iPhone as the controller or talk to the guy that makes the kit and see if he has any ideas or suggestions. I really don't feel like risking a $500 aircraft while testing.

I will say the flight that I took in the garage initially was pretty bad ass being able to use a traditional RC controller. That is why I really hope it is just something quirky that I need to figure out.

That is about as exciting as the day was for me. I went to Scheels and bought a few more pairs, well not a few but 2 more pairs of shoes because the other Nike Free Run 3.0's that I just recently bought were hurting my calves like a mo-fo!

They refer to that type of shoe as a heel-drop shoe from what I have read online. this type is supposed to be a lot better for running but the problem is if you are not running it does not work so well, actually "so well" is being generous because they actually perform like crap. It's a shame because they are super comfortable and light, but not made for day-to-day walking and casual wear. I sure wish they would tell you that shxt when you tell them what you are buying the shoe for.

That's It

Okay puttin' a fork in it, that's enough for today. Cicely is going to be exhausted by the time she gets home tonight so I want to try and get some stuff done so she is not stuck doing it and can relax instead. She would do the same for me, she's sweet like that. I am one lucky guy!
