BOOM
So I am sure everyone has heard by now about the big ass sonic boom that happened in Russia because of the meteor breaking up in the atmosphere. Cicely and I watched a bunch of it online and it was pretty dam scary, loud and crazy. I cant even imagine, although we had a similar situation here last summer, just not as big of a boom since we were much further away from it.
There is some crazy ass Russian guy that is basically a spreader of all things not true who is saying that the whole thing is actually the USA testing out some new weapons and using their airspace or something to do the testing. Yea, we do some pretty shady shxt I am sure, but I have a feeling this has nothing to do with us.
I don't know how long the links will be around, but here are a few of the first ones to show up when I first heard the news about it this morning.
This first video is crazy, mainly the last part of the video - I only say crazy because the Russians don't even skip a beat, just keep on driving to work or where ever they are heading. I guess when you see it you don't really know what to think. In the city its more of the same because you have glass breaking and so on but no idea what caused it.
Carnival
Well I heard today that the 4.200 passengers and crew that were aboard the Carnival Cruise ship, "Carnival Triumph" have now made it back to land after their ordeal in the Gulf Of Mexico. From what I have read, there was a fire in the engine room that led to damaged some areas, which essentially let waste flow into the hallways and other areas of the ship. Passengers went from vacation mode to survival mode as food and other things started to become scarce.
It really sucks and I can only imagine what a nightmare it was. I read that Carnival will be giving everyone on board a 100% refund, $500 cash as well as a full paid future cruise. After I was just hearing that the company had really done a great job turning it's image around from a young party ship cruise-line they now have to deal with this.
On top of it there were several buses to get passengers to the airports and related. Well one of the buses broke down just 45 minutes after leaving the port that they got of the ship at. Wow, these people are doomed with a black cloud over them and no chance of a vacation at any point.
On the plus side, Cicely and I actually enjoying cruising and this type of thing tends to bring rates down so I am all for that! All joking aside, I hope everyone is ok. I know being around that type of thing for any length of time can mess you up and not show up for many years to come. When we had our flood in 1997 there were a lot of people that become ill who were exposed to the water and debris. Makes me wonder how many others have had issues and never related them to the event.
Furniture
I have to mention that I am stoked because our new furniture has arrived at RC Willey already! Holy cow, we just friggin ordered it like 2 weeks ago and it was not supposed to be in until the middle of March at the earliest. Man, this means I need to come up with some money and fast so we can pay it off. I assumed we had a little time and could use our tax return to help pay for it, uh oh!
Breakfast With My Girl
What's better than sleeping in then going out to breakfast with your better half? Nothing is better in my book and that is exactly how my morning proceeded.
We decided before Cicely's early meeting with a friend that she is showing her crafts too that we wanted to go to Pegs Glorified Ham & Eggs and have a killer home-style breakfast so we did, and it was awesome just as it is every time!
Afterword Cicely headed to downtown Reno to Starbucks to meet her friend. I headed back home to fly my AR.Drone for a few flights and take Oggy for a walk so he could get some exercise and enjoy the nice 61° day.
Gun Show Tomorrow
So tomorrow is the gun show! They seem to be having them about every 4 months which is really nice. There is a bunch of stuff that I need to get and look for so we will see how the hunt goes.
It's been really crappy lately trying to find just about anything firearm related after-all of the crap going down and new crap the hippies are trying to get enforced.
On the positive side I think it's waking up a lot of people that were half asleep at the wheel for so long regarding shit that is going down all around us. Although in all honesty it still blows me away how many ignorant people there are out there when it comes to firearms they have no idea the slippery slope they are creating.
When eliminating something like our right to bear arms you can't be ignorant and haphazardly start banning the things in which you don't participate in as a hobby or otherwise or more importantly that you may not fully understand. Why, because if nothing else you should understand that one thing leads to the next. One day these new laws could very well seep in and affect something that one of those same hippie motherfuckers enjoy. Then we'll see how well it sits in their gut. Actually it would probably sit okay so long as they are still nourished by mama governments tit.
Pinch It Off
About enough for this entry. It's time for me to enjoy the rest of my day. It has been so nice and relaxing so far everything from sleeping in a little late to enjoying a big breakfast and then the nice weather. I don't know if it can possibly get any better but if it does I am all for that.
For everyone else that is working, I hope you are having a great Friday as well and into the weekend! Feels like spring has sprung for sure, unfortunately the weather guessers are predicting snow next week so I hope they are wrong as they usually are.
