Already Monday

Holy cow, the weekend shot by like a rocket - I honestly can't believe that it is already Monday and time to get back in the groove of work again! It seems like Saturday never really happened and we just flew right into Sunday, which also seemed to zoom by.

Short Week

On the bright-side it will be a shorter week. Cicely is doing a big show this weekend called "Diva's Day Out" at the Reno/Sparks Convention Center Grand Sierra Resort & Casino so we are going to take a half day on Friday. This will giver her time to prepare for the big event and load up her car. Normally we would just take the entire day off, especially for something like this, but we have a training class at work in the morning that we don't want to miss. I figure that going in for a few hours will get us moving so we don waste the day away if we could just sleep in and go at our own pace.

No Traffic

Really kinda strange but as you can tell from my photo there was little to no traffic on our commute this morning. I am not sure if everyone took the day off to go skiing and snowboarding or if everyone is off and fighting a Super Bowl party hangover. Either way I will take it, saves us about 10 minutes on our morning commute.

Supercross

I completely forgot to mention yesterday that the supercross race was back in Anaheim, California and it had some great bar-to-bar racing Saturday night. JS7 had a great night compared to the rest of the season so far and finished 4th in the main; his best finish all year. I know he wants nothing but the top of the podium, as does Suzuki, but he is fighting his knee injury so earning points and being on track is much more important at this point than winning the championship.

All of the teams will be heading to the east coast after the next and final west coast race in San Diego, California this Saturday. Heading east seems to always change the dynamics a little with different weather and dirt, at least they will be starting of in Texas and not crazy Georgia dirt. I mentioned a few weeks back that they were heading to Missouri for the start if the East series but I jumped the gun on that one, I had my dates mixed up.
