First thing today the weather guessers are already spewing out their gospel of a massive winter storm warning that is heading our direction. It does feel extremely cold out to the point that if we had a little moisture in the air that we could potentially have snow. Otherwise it does seem fairly calm with little to no feeling of moisture heading our way.
The surrounding mountains do appear to have gotten a nice dumping of snow the past couple days though which will be nice for a hopefully early season of the ski resorts as I am sure that they are feeling the sting a bit from last seasons lack of snow-pack.
I have coworkers that have already managed to head up to the meadows area which is located just past Mount Rose ski resort. It's a well know area for snowmobiles, snow-skating as well as snowshoeing with family as well as bringing along your fuzzy kids.
These are all things I would be interested in taking part in this coming winter, although namely the snowshoeing part of it. Seems to be a good way to get some decent exercise as well as be able to walk around the mountains which is something I truly enjoy. Not sure why exactly, but I have always enjoyed walking and exploring.
Not Much Really
Otherwise it's Friday and that means the end of the week for us as soon as we get through the day. This weekend I am looking forward to helping Cicely work on one of the projects she has going on for a big order this weekend. It should not be a big deal to accomplish we have around 105 pieces that we have to drill the glue and add sticks to you and then get them ready to ship out so they are there by December 18th I think.
On top of all that I am looking forward to getting some rides in on the cycle trainer as well as spending time with the family.
We will see how it all goes and what the weekend brings. Little, actually no snow shoveling would be ideal. The snow accumulation can stay up in the mountains, waiting for us down here in the valley to come up and play.
