Day After

Dang, so it's already the day after Christmas and I have been off of work for 7 days now and I honestly have not managed to get shxt done. I have a lot of smaller projects I want to do as well as do some bike riding on the trainer, again most of which I have not done any of or if so, I have done only very little of like when speaking of the trainer.

Beta Testing

Speaking of the trainer, I do need to get my ass in gear because I was chosen to be one of the beta testers for this new trainer software called Zwift. It looks really cool and I am excited to be part of it. Not to mention they sent out the invite yesterday so it was a really cool Christmas present that was not expected what-so-ever.

The only thing I don't like about it so far is that I need to use a PC to use the software. I have many PC's, both laptop and full tower workstations but I have more Apple products that I would rather use. Namely my iPad to be honest. I have a feeling its a lot to pump through it I suppose, really I don't know. Maybe its because of the initial cost to develop the app and then support it along with the versions that run on PC.

Again, this is in no way putting down the software, I am pretty sure that it will be a lot of fun and I cant wait to use it I just need to continue to try various indoor training software and determine what works the best for me. They all have very good pro's and only a few con's if any.

There has only been one so far that I never remember the name of that was crap and would crash anywhere from a few minutes up to nearly an entire 30 minutes into a ride. That is the most annoying thing in the world because I like to keep all of my data and review it and upload it to the various websites so I can see how I am progressing and where I have been or what I have ridden.

Thankfully I am able to tell what is real life and what is trainer based on my comments, well and the location more times than not because I will cycle in far off places on the trainer. I just wish Strava would do something about that so I can mark it all separate and still be able to see the data but not have it register on the website and getting 'king of the hills' or that sort of thing.

Playing

Most of the day Cicely and I spent a lot of time playing with the new toys that Zoey got from friends, family and of course Santa. She has been having a good time but I think she is a little bit overloaded as well because of all the choices between toys. She has been a little bit fussy throughout the day which leads me to believe that she is having some issues with her teeth as well. There are two more coming in on top that we can see so I am sure that is not fun.

Then last night while she was getting her diaper changed and her pajamas put on she was playing with one of her new toys and it slipped out of her hand, fell and whacked her just under her nose on her upper lip and yep, the exact spot the new teeth are coming in. She was upset for a couple minutes and then was back to normal. More than likely Cicely and I were feeling worse about it than she was although my guess is that is usually the case.

Movie

So I have to wrap up this post here soon because I am going to watch the movie that started all of the shxt with the media, the internet and tons of employees past and present at Sony. If you have not already guessed or you are reading this years later and don't remember all the crap that went down I will remind you. I am referring to the movie The Interview that is about a couple guys going over to kill the dictator of North Korea. I have a pretty good idea that the movie will be a bit of a flop and nothing more but I still figure it's worth a few bucks and a couple laughs at the very least.

Hopefully your post Christmas time has been good whether still hanging out with friends and family or if you are already back at work doing whatever it is that you do day-to-day. For us it's now movie time and to decide how big of a flop or not this movie is.
