Cycling, Colds, Snow

Today was basically one of those days that I sat around the majority of the day getting things done that I needed to take care of online. I know that does not sound like it would be a very hard task or something that should take an entire Sunday to do but it is and it was. I am still not done with everything and do have a lot more to take care of but that is par for the course. One weekend at a time and it will slowly but surely get checked off the list.

Snow

So yesterday and today were both really nice out and there was no chatter, at least that I heard, from the weather guessers that there was again going to be rain or snow. Well what do you know? It snowed this evening around 5:00 PM and continued on and off for a few hours. I think because of the warmer weather we had today and yesterday the snow was unable to do much more than get the roads wet for a little while and now icy would be my guess.

On the plus side of things the mountains should have gotten a nice dumping which is exactly what they are in need of! This will be one of the first Christmas and New Year holidays in a while that people will be able to go up to the resorts and have a decent snow pack. Heck probably the first time in a long time that they will actually be open.

I think a few of the resorts that make their own snow have been open but anyone that has every been on man made snow knows that it's not even close to the same and not much fun to play in.

Health

So I am now just about over my cold although my throat does still feel a little odd. Not sure why, maybe its because of the cough medicine the past week or something or maybe just the constant coughing. I am happy that it's gone if it truly is though that's for sure!

Problem is that now both Cicely and Zoey have managed to catch something. I am not sure what it is but it's not what I had I am almost certain of that. They have a runny nose and congestion where-as mine was mostly in my head for a couple weeks and then went down into my chest and gave me pure hell for over a week with the constant coughing and hacking all night long. Cough medicine did not help me at night and neither did things like night-time cold medicines for sleeping, coughing and all of the other aches and pains that go along with a cold.

Now we just have to focus and do our best to get both Cicely and Zoey over it and hope that it does not come full circle and I end up catching it just as I finish the one I am almost done with. Heck tonight even poor Oggy was a little sick and not feeling 100%. I am not sure if he just ate something that did not agree or what. Hopefully he is feeling better soon as well.

We have to take him in on Wednesday for his teeth cleaning and also get a few things removed from his legs, little cysts or possibly just rough areas from the way he lays. I think they will test the areas they remove as well to be sure there is nothing bad going on. I sure hope not, I don't know what I would do if I found out there was something wrong with my fuzzy kiddo - he means so much to me!

Cycling

This afternoon I took a nice ride that was nearly one hour long even though only 13 miles in distance. It had a ton of climbing and was a fairly rough route. I chose one that was in Croatia that I found on the CycleOps trainer map and figured it was a good one to try. Plus seeing the scenery of the area would be really cool in case I am never able to go there in person although I really hope that I am able to because the area looks amazing when we have seen it on TV.

So yea, it was nice to get on the bike and get some miles in while it was crappy and snowing outside. I thought that was really cool even though at the time I did not as much because the route was much more difficult than I thought it looked from the map and it did kick my ass pretty good. Nothing wrong with that though, there is a reason I have named the training area of my garage the 'Pain Cave'. This is the area that has all of the workout equipment, treadmill and cycle trainer for me to go out and sweat, get rid of some energy and do my best to stay a little more fit.

Big Order

Cicely finished up her big order this week and is shipping it out to Hawaii tomorrow. I am super proud of her for not only getting this order but being able to get it done in such a short time. She had a lot of work to do on them and is super busy at work as well but has managed to somehow get it all done and keep her spirits up. Nice work baby, hopefully this will be the first of many big order for you in the coming year!

New Car

So I sent an email to the guys down at the dealership today to see if they can work a good deal for me based on the equity in my current car and lease as well as the payoff amount that I have left. They have some pretty good deals right now and there is potential that I could get into something new, well 2014 new, for less than what I am paying now.

The car would be essentially the exact same car as I have now with the exception that it's new and the color would be red instead of mineral silver that I have now. I think there are a few other small things that it would not have as well but honestly these are all things that I rarely use in the first place so I am not too worried.

I guess I will see what they come back with this week and if they decide to be shady dickheads or if they will honor the prices and related that they have already relayed to myself and my wife on Thursday and Friday of last week. You never know with some of those guys, they can be cool or they can be a total pain in the ass and go back on their word thinking you are an idiot that is so dead-set on the car you will give your left nut to get it.

Nope, that is not the case with me I just need something new to make up for the lease that is ending. I am not one to fall in love over the cars that I buy, they will only be with me for a short time so what is the point. So long as they have what I need and get me from point to point then I am golden.

Okay

That will be it out of me for today. It's now pushing midnight and not the way to start off the new week and deal with the driving in the icy conditions that may be waiting for us in the morning. Hopefully the week goes smooth and we can all get over our colds and get ready to dive into the holiday in the coming weeks and see what all that brings our way. Until tomorrow, it's time for this guy to hit the sack and get some sleep....
