Photo Album Repair Day

I'm not going to lie to you, today has been a bit of a waste with the exception of Cicely's dad and step-mom coming over to drop off some supplies for Zoey to leave out for Santa as well as a cool plate to put the cookies on for the jolly man. She also made sure to bring over a few mini carrot sticks for the reindeer because they get hungry as well towing that sleigh around all night ya' know.

Smug Repair

Although I am still not finished and I probably have somewhere around another 5 or 6 hours at least left to completely repair the photo album that I completely hosed on SmugMug with little more than one very small mistake of deleting this one content holder that was not holding any content on the page that I deleted it from. Unfortunately it was linked to every other page throughout the libraries of photos and ultimately caused me to destroy every album and over 10gb of photos and video.

On the bright side of things I have been adding some extra things to each of the albums to try and make them a little more interesting and feel more like a photo album that is meant for the content that is stored within it instead of everything being seemingly identical as it was before. Same background, same layout and so on. Each are themed now as close as possible to make them feel a little more interesting and unique to one-another.

Now I just have to be careful and not screw them up as I go along and more importantly later on down the road when I add content because I know that I will almost certainly forget every little thing that I have done to make these what they are - there is a lot to it, much more than there really should be if you ask me. Problem is, SmugMug is still the best on the block for doing what I am doing and the price is excellent.

I did have to break down and purchase a subscription to this data mover company for $20 a month. I hope that I am able to cancel the subscription after the first month though as I will not need it any longer than that. I mostly needed it so I could make a 'just in case' backup of all the photos today before I started messing around with the individual galleries.

Cycling

No cycling on the trainer today even though I considered it around 8:30 this evening. I just figured it was too late and honestly I did not feel like getting all of my gear on and going out and setting everything up to ride. Its not that big of a deal really but I was more in the mood to do some YouTube video catching up. My 'watch later' list has been growing at a fast rate and I needed to get caught up. So instead of going for a bike ride I instead did the treadmill for just over 90 minutes. I think that will be a decent amount of cardio for the day.

3D Printer? Not Yet

I have yet to mess with the 3D printer. I will have to do something with that this vacation or else I might as well take the damn thing and stick it into the garbage. I have so many cool things that I just don't have or don't make the time for that its ridiculous to be perfectly honest and I am sick of it. More times that not I am tired or lazy in a manner that I don't want to get into something that will then consume all of my time because its not working as expected or something. I have a feeling that will not be the case in this situation but you never know.

Un-Cubed

No work for us tomorrow as our vacation has started as of Friday. The first two days have honestly already flown by and I cant believe how fast it has happened. I really hope that the rest of the week takes its sweet time and does not do more of the same. Once the new year is here there will be little to no time for days off until the spring and summer months get here.
Wrap It Up

Anyway, I think that will do it for today. I am literally writing this entry at the 11th hour, not something that I like to do but with the day being taken by me messing with the photo's I did not want to stop and rabble about anything. I probably should have just to take a break but instead I would surf around a little bit and that was that.

Photo: Where I spent the majority, okay all of my day today. Not what I had planned to be perfectly honest but once it's done, so long as I don't mess it up in the future I should be golden. They really need to have some sort of back-up and restore feature for times like this. Not to mention if I ever move everything I found out that I will actually lose all of my naming and comments - that sucks!
