It's not by chance, we actually kinda planned it to be this way so we would be up and moving and possibly be able to swing by IHOP to get the pregnant woman some much needed breakfast. Her favorite meal of the day - any time of the day for that matter.
Anyway, this appointment is not specifically for Cicely but another visit on the road to keeping tabs on baby. So I guess it's for both of them and I am lucky enough to get to come along for the ride. I like it when it's not me on the waiting table anticipating the doctor.
I am excited because we will get to hear babies beautifully strong little heartbeat again. This always gives us reassurance that everything is ok and baby is growing stronger by the day.
The crappy part of it all is that the office is slooow as molasses most days. Generally getting there for a 9:00 AM appointment means seeing the doctor around 9:30, 9:45 or 10:00 if we are lucky. Annoying that it takes so friggin' long but what ya' going to do - they kinda have you by the balls.
We ended up going to IHOP after the doctor visit and had some breakfast. It's a good thing too, we were both starving by then. And yes, before you ask, we remembered to bring Oggy something home so he could enjoy a little IHOP as well.

Kung Fu Kiddo
So last night I think baby found a local studio in "hotel womb" that offers martial arts classes. Cicely came over next to me on the couch several times to let me feel her belly. Sure enough baby was moving BIG TIME. It felt as though baby was practicing punches, kicks, rolls and having a great time doing so.
I of course like to play along with baby when ever I can like any good karate partner would. So I was poking gently on the area in an attempt to get her to either poke, kick or punch back. No luck, baby would always do it minutes after I was done and Cicely was sitting back on the couch relaxing several feet away. It's ok, I am on to babies little tricks!
No matter, it's a lot of fun for me trying to get her to poke back and exciting being able to actually sorta have a little baby / daddy play session. Don't think you have gotten the best of me little one, you will soon learn your daddy does not give up that easy. Although if you are anything like me, you probably are going to be competitive and make sure that you continue to have the upper hand during our little play sessions.
TV
So the mid-season finale of The Walking Dead was crazy last night and actually kinda sad. We lost one of the main characters, the wise "father-like" character to everyone of the show - Hershel.
I am extremely happy to report that The Governor was finally killed and by the hand of Rick no-less, perfect! I was stoked to see it happen, I was growing tired of his character and the problems he created in the show.
Hard part now is that when The Governor attacked them at the prison with his new crew everyone got split up. A few on the bus, a few on foot and a few on foot that don't really know what happened to the others. Rick and his son Carl for example have been separated from daughter / sister known as little "ass kicker".
The second half of the season starts in February and the short preview we watched last night did not give away much. I do know that no matter what it will be an exciting one and keep us on the edge of our seats wanting more. I am happy they will be out and about once again. The story at the prison was getting a little repetitive and the 100% focus two episodes before last nights finale being only on The Governor were two of my least favorite episodes to date.
No matter I can't wait to see what comes next! Is it February yet? Wait, never-mind I can wait - the months have been going by too fast as it is. Slow and steady, let's do that for a while.
Flush
I think that will do it for today. Last day of vacation so it's time to wind things down and start getting into the day-to-day swing of things again tomorrow. Yea sounds about as fun as it is in reality.
