Stupid Rain

So it's now day two of the rain storms that have been coming through the valley. As far as today's storm it does not look as though it plans to end for the rest of today. I had hoped that it would start to wither away by tomorrow and we would jump back into the heat of summer. Not looking like that based on the clouds.

Obviously this means no bike riding for me and I am missing it. It's probably a blessing in disguise as I have mentioned previously though last night I had some dinner after playing with Oggy and Zoey for a little while and tried to go online for a while to research bike tires and other things I need. No luck, I ended up dozing off within 15 minutes time.

I woke up to go use the restroom and planned to come back out and have some dessert and research then but laid on the bed "for a second" that turned into an hour and a half nap! I woke up when Cicely, Oggy and Zoey came in so I went into the kitchen, swallowed a few drinks of juice, walked back into the bedroom, laid down and was out within another 10 minutes.

Slept through the alarm this morning, waking up at 7:30 instead of 5:30 as I needed to. So it was a bit of a rush rush morning to get into the office.

Not sure if Ll of this sleepiness is from the weather, my body fighting something or my long bike rides catching up with me and my body forcing me to take a break. Whichever, I am ready to be less tired and more energized that's for sure!

Anyway,  I checked my weather apps and it looks as though the storms plan to last the rest of the week or at least turn into thunderstorms based solely on the weather guessers. I took this Friday off from work in hopes of going for a nice long ride but if the weather is crap then I may just save the day off and head into the office instead.

Colds

So poor Zoey and Cicely seem to be sick once again. This really sucks because it's not even cold and flu season yet! Zoey was only over her last cold for a week or so and same with Cicely. I have been lucky and have skated through them both so far without catching them. I am not sure if it's the flu shot helping me out or just my activity level.

I guess it could also be as simple as me having these particular colds already in the past so my body is immune to them? It's weird though, Cicely hardly ever gets a cold so this is not a good sign. I absolutely hate seeing either one of them fighting off a bug.

Not Much Else

I think that about does it for today. There really is not much going on at the moment that I can rabble about. Work is going along nicely and the weather sucks. Not much else to report.

Oh actually I did finally get my new beefy laptop at work and the guys set it up yesterday afternoon. Looking forward to getting that going today and tomorrow. It always takes a few days to get things "just right" after getting a new workstation. That is the part I always hate doing - the set-up and the realization of things  that you have forgotten to have put into the new one.

Time to start looking into trainers or something since this is how winter will be as well, lame! Although I do plan to ride if it's dry out the cold sucks, but I can deal with it much better.
