Fuzzy Kids Upset Belly

So today the weather is much nicer than it was yesterday. All we had until late into the night was wind and more wind. I hate the wind so this pretty much meant that I was annoyed by it blowing all day, but thankful I was not out in it or up at the lake dealing with it.

Our plan was to head up to Tahoe today but I am not sure how that will work out now. The fuzzy kid, Oggy, was up most of the night not feeling well for some reason. We did not give him any table scraps or anything that could have upset his stomach and digestive system. He did have bites of cantaloupe from Cicely and I at breakfast but not enough to bother him I don't think. Unfortunately it's the only extra thing we can think of that he ate so it may have been that.

He did go outside when we told him "Oggy, go outside and pee pee, pukies and poopies" and being the brilliant dog that he is, he went out and did exactly that, except for the pee part. Fine with us, the other 2 were better based on how he was acting. A few minutes later he came in and already looked better but I could tell that he was still not 100% and he wasn't. Within 10 minutes he was back in the bathroom laying on the floor trying to feel better.

We always wondered why this was his favorite place to go when feeling crummy. So Cicely looked it up and everything pointed to the fact that they look for a safe, cool area to rest and I assume usually away from the rest of "the pack". He always has done this and even if we try to take him out of there to come snuggle and get a nice massage of the belly or behind the ears, he ends up back in there laying down every time.

This morning when I woke up he was between Cicely and I in bed so this was a sure sign that he was feeling better, yippee! He got up a little after I did and was ready for his breakfast also - another sign he is feeling better.

Cicely fed him while getting Zoey's bottle together and I gave him his "good boy for eating all his food" treat. I made coffee and he went back into the bedroom to snooze some more with Cicely and Zoey. I am glad to see that he is mostly back to his old self, it scares me when he does not feel well.

They can't tell us what is wrong or what we can do so we can only guess and more than likely we have no idea what to do even when we think that we do. So generally we offer up things that may help, sugar free apple juice always seems to make his belly better for example. Or we offer a cozy spot next to us in bed or on the couch. Pretty much whatever we can do until it passes through him.

To Lake Or Not To Lake

Even though the weather is 100% nicer today we are still up in the air about going to the lake. Cicely is tired from being up late and keeping an eye on Oggy after I headed to bed. Zoey still has a little bit of a cold and I want to go for a bike ride. Yea I know; decisions, decisions all around.

The bike ride I can always do tomorrow or Saturday, heck even Sunday, but today is probably the last chance for Tahoe this summer. I plan to talk to Cicely about it again and make 100% sure what we want to do with the day. The last thing I want to do is waste it trying to decide what we should do!

Our plan was to possibly stop in Carson City as well on the way back and visit mom. This would also give her the chance to meet Zoey and for Zoey to meet her. I am not sure if she will fully understand it or not, but I can hope so. I also want Zoey to get a photo with her. They would have been such great friends if this stupid diseases did not take over moms brain! I try not to dwell on it though or I get really pissed off and there is nothing I can do.

With That

That is basically the road map for today. Not entirely sure what direction we will end up going but I am thinking now that I will try to get Cicely and Zoey out of bed. If successful we can try for the lake today. Otherwise I will say heck with it and go for a ride. Today may not be my 80 or 100 mile ride because I am trying out a new seat, but it would be awesome to get that under my belt that's for sure!

Alright, that will do it! Tomorrow is Friday for everyone working today on a normal 5 day workweek. Should be something positive to look forward to!

Enjoy the day and tomorrow will be more rewarding all around!
