750 km

So this will actually be one of the shortest posts that I have done I think. I know I do say it all the time that this one, no that one, no those others need will be super short. Problem is, I am exhausted after my ride tonight and I don't have a ton to write about honestly.

For the most part the day was fairly uneventful and we relaxed at home. Zoey and Cicely hung out while I went for a ride and heck, I did not even get moving until 2:30 I think! Sad, I was up at around 6 this morning so we could go to breakfast and take Oggy to the Sparks Marina but when I went to wake up Cicely she was not really in the mood - hindsight I don't think I would have been as excited about it either if we were doing a lot of running around after. The important part is that Oggy would have loved it, if he could make the entire lop still.

The part that concerns us if we leave to late and it's hot out is that he will barely drink his water when we are out and about like that and we know he is thirsty. So it can be a little scary on the hotter days so we just gently pour little amounts of water on him to keep him cool. We have a collar we freeze as well but we have not used that since I stopped racing. He does not like it initially but by the time it starts to cool him down and he is use to it, he loves the thing!

Friggin' Flat

Oh I should mention that I did get a f'n flat rear tire tonight with only 3 to 5 miles left to go - yea I was a little pissed about it, but what can you do? So I just put in a new tube and was on my way in probably 20 minutes or so.

I should know better because it's the EXACT same area that I got the 2 flats on a few weeks back. I guess I was hoping that something magical happened and there would be no more massive goat-heads to worry about running over - nope, there is at least one and I found it - not lucky!

End

Okay I think that will be the end of this post. I am tired, like really tired. I am typing this with my eyes partially opened and even doze off a little here and there trying to get it all in. So if there are certain areas that you are thinking to yourself wtf? don't worry because it's just me typing "almost" while I am asleep at times so you never know what the hell might come off my fingers!

Tomorrow is Monday and we don't have to go to work which is awesome of course to have another day off and to visit with each other. No ribs for us yet this weekend and I am confident that we will probably not go this year. We don't really hang out down there and the crowds are a pain in the ass as well as the parking around the area. Many take the free shuttles in and park their cars elsewhere. Its smart to some but also depending on who you talk to. The seasoned guys and gals will know some pretty cool hacks you can do as well. Okay enough outta me - until tomorrow!

Photo: Super happy that I was able to make it this far in the challenge for August. I figured most times I would get side tracked or not have any interest in them, nope not the case at all and I actually look forward to see what they will be. Anyway, this is my badge for this month, the goal was actually 1250km but that is outta my league at  the moment.
