Cycling
This week had been my worst week for putting miles on my bike. I was planning to at least put in a few miles everyday and keep racking up the miles for July. I was shooting for 500 km and as it sits right now I still have approximately 125km to go and unless I do 2 extremely long rides Saturday and Sunday, then something tonight that is at least 10 to 20 miles, I won't be able to hit the 500 km for the month.
Next week is slated to be full of more afternoon thunderstorms and rain. Something that I do not want to ride in unless absolutely necessary - meaning that I am already out and having a really good ride Nd plan to finish the miles no matter the weather situation like I decided to do last weekend to complete my 51+ mile ride.
This weekend I am considering doing one of two rides that I have been eyeing for the past few weeks. One is to go around the McCarran loop but that ride is only 30 miles or so which is fine but if I am going to do something that close to 50 I might as well do at least 50.
The other ride is a little but more of a pain in the ass because I would need to drive to the south side of town down by work. It then goes all the way out towards this area known as Bowers Mansion. The ride is supposed to be a fairly good one and has routes for beginner to advanced riders. I think they must chance the overall distance depending on skill level as well as the amount of elevation changes and intensity of climbs.
More on that tomorrow I suppose once I try to drag my ass out of bed, get my gear together and lastly make a dang decision where exactly I will go. I do feel as though I need to get the mountain bike out some more as well before the trails get muddy.
As winter approaches this Fat Bikes have a strange appeal for me as well. Another way to keep my summer riding stamina up to par, or at least closer to par no matter the weather conditions that are happening around me. Not sure though, when I first saw them I thought they were the stylist things ever made. Now that I better understand their purpose I can more easily relate to the worthiness of actually owning one - dunno, we'll see.
Fash
So the Fash-mob 2014 went over very well last night and was very well received by those that participated and those that spectators the event. This year Cicely had both of her sisters in the event (Danika and Miranda) and they did an amazing job and look awesome as well.
Miranda actually had art in the show this year as well which was very exciting for her. I think that next year Danika wants to do the same thing and try her luck at fashion of some sort - cool! They were both really awesome and to think it was 3 sisters taking part in this, collaborating together and making their part of it happen was awesome.
Doing so is not easy as it seems and it actually costs you as a designer quite a lot more money than you will ever get back out of it - but the experience itself and, for lack of better words - is"priceless". This is especially true for someone that is trying to get their designs out there and have a good time during our local ArtTown events.
Alright
I plan to put this entry to rest and get ready to finish up my Friday and get into the weekend. I am really looking forward to doing some rides and want to do one tonight as well to get my legs warmed up and my body in the mode from the weekend ride. I worry that after not riding for a couple days I will be starting all over again - yea silly I know - but like most things, if you are away from it even for a short time the time away is immediately obvious. From what I hear from other cyclist is that it seems to go away really fast in the bike world - more-so than other sports and hobbies it seems.
OK, off of that topic or I will start to go on and on again about cycling - something anyone reading will be thinking "OK enough about it, we get it!" - yea, too bad - this is my white paper and you are here as a guest peering in, so deal with it <insert smiley face here>.
Have a great weekend, stay safe but not necessarily out of trouble. Being overly cautious and out of trouble is not always the best recipe for success although at times its how it works out. Until next time, enjoy your time!

Photo: OK so I friggin' love this shirt, no really I think it's so dam true, so dam cool and again - I want to own it, wear it and shove hipsters faces in it - but that would not make me any better or worse than them so I would just wear it proudly. I also hate the fact that because I like certain beers they have recently become popular again because of said hipsters that I am assumed to be part of that crowd.
Figure it out people, you don't "become" punk rock or into extreme sports and so on, it becomes you and consumes you - I am that, not this because of a beer. Anyway, rant for another day - I found this picture on a Facebook group that I follow and had to share on here as well.
