Cicely stayed home today to take care if our precious baby girl. Zoey was sent home from daycare yesterday because she puked after her mid-morning bottle. Daycare has a 1 puke policy, they call the parents and kiddo has to go home.
While I fully understand that it's a matter of it being "their policy" because a child could be contagious in many different ways when it comes to bodily fluids - and I appreciate that cautiousness / concern for our kids. I do think it's a little overly strict that children get sent home if it's just projectile spit-up from eating, then while the teachers are trying to burp them it ends up turning into coughing; in the end - a projectile spit-up.
At the same time all of us that take our children to daycare pay a ton of money to have the kids there and they should be able to be a little more lenient if it's right after eating vs. out of the blue. Don't misunderstand, the staff is awesome in every way that we could hope for. I only wish these policies were a little more laxed at times because it costs us a lot of time away from work and so on, at times unnecessarily away from work.
So today Cicely decided that the best thing to do was to stay home with Zoey and help her to get some rest and not have to be out and about. Also the fact that she did not want to drop her off at daycare only to have her sent home again for throwing up her bottle of formula. I sure hope that she feels better by the end of today and is ready to go to school tomorrow. More importantly I just want her back to her normal, cute - awesome- smart - self!
I am a little bit achy today so I am hoping that its not a bug from her to me. I know that Cicely said she was feeling a little something as well. My hope is that its only from the lack of sleep and nothing more. I have not been sick in years - but I guess if its in the cards for me, what can I do? Although I would take the cold away from Zoey and break my record in a heartbeat!
Nice Parking
So I have no idea who this is, but more than likely it is someone either in my game studio or the game studio that is down the way from me, also under the same organization but unique. Anyway, none of that really matters I simply wanted to point out the fact that this person better be amazing at what they do because their parking skills suck in a big way.
I hope also that they drive better than they park. I know that it can be difficult to fit your sports car in-between those little white lines but at least you could have gotten somewhat in the ballpark. The only way I would accept this as a successful parking job is if I found out that you skidding into this spot while being chased by someone really bad. Had to dive from the car (so the door should have still been open - I will assume a "good citizen closed it for you) and there should be easily identified areas on the ground where the choppers landed. Although I would have expected to see some bullet holes in the side of the car as well.
Otherwise do us all a favor and this weekend, take a few hours and drive down to an empty parking lot, or heck this one for that matter and work on your dam parking skills! They are one of the essential talents to drive a car! Best of luck to you, you apparently need it.

Town Hall
So today is our town hall meeting to discuss the happenings with the merger of our company with the other company. This has been in the news for the entire week since the announcement and boy can the news really screw up information. I would never tell them a dam thing, they would screw it up and it would be my ass or credibility.
No matter it will be interesting to see what comes of it, what types of questions that people have and so on. I have a feeling it will be more of everyone listening vs. asking questions but you never know. Most, including myself, don't want to be the one to ask that one question even if its the elephant in the room. Mostly because no matter what they tell us, its still all up in the air in reality.
Does It
On that note, I am going to get my butt down to the cafeteria and see what the chefs have cooked up today. If nothing of interest to me and my hunger I will go with my usual spinach wrap with turkey, Swiss and veggies. Wash it down with some water and possibly snack on the included apple, orange or banana this afternoon.
Because of the town hall meeting and one other meeting that I cannot miss today I will most likely have to miss my workout for the day (lame) but that should inspire me to do my bike ride this evening when I get home after work. I was planning to go last night but it did not work out. I started messing around with one of the applications I use for the bike computer and the thing was driving me nuts because it was so dam slow.
Then after all that hard work and waiting, the dam thing would not copy my data over to the device from the computer. I think Garmin really needs to work on their software. The Edge 1000 is awesome, but for the most part its a piece of shxt if you try to use some of the more advance (but they really are not "advance") features. If it keeps up, I will sell the dam thing on eBay just like I did with the 810 and try one from another manufacturer.
OK, saving that soapbox for another day. I am hopeful that my little girl starts feeling better today and that her and Cicely get some much needed rest. Zoey has not been sleeping because of her cough and cold, and Cicely for the same reason - keeping an eye on Zoey's cough and cold. I on the other-hand cant sleep because I am keeping an eye on both of them. I have a feeling that the only one in the house that is well rested and feels well is Oggy!
Photo: I fucking hate these stupid ass automobile testicles with a passion! Even more-so is my dislike and confusion by the morons that not only make a conscious decision on what color and style they want, then spend their money on a pair and in the end think that they are cool - dumb asses!
