We started the day with room service breakfast on the balcony. Then it was off to a tour of the entire island, gardens and scenic outlook points.
At the top pf the mountain we stopped at this massive gift shop that has sold over 7 million banana daiquiris, we did not have one it was way too early even for us. Such a beautiful island to say the least.
I have to say, just like St. Lucia last year I can't get use to driving on the wrong side of the road, turns onto other roads freak me out. St. Maarten was like the U.S. and they drove on the right side of the road.
Ok back to the day. After the island scenic tour we decided to drop our stuff off at the ship and then hop in a taxi and take it over to Emerald Beach to play in the sun, sand and ocean for about 3 hours.
Only $4 each for the cab and $6 for a chair. sounds crazy to pay for a chair i know, but it makes it nice to not worry about getting one or losing it. Oh there were a few more boobs hanging out in their natural habitat again as well (topless women), although not as many as St. Maarten had.
About 1/2 way through our beach day we grabbed some lunch and beers at at restaurant right on the beach called Beach Combers. Grilled turkey sandwiches and fries. We let lunch settle for 10 minutes or so, then it was back in the water for the rest of the day.
2:45 rolled around so it was time to head to the pier and end our beach day. Grabbed a cab and made it in under 10 minutes back to the pier.
Did some shopping at the pier stores so Cicely could find a cover-up. Finished up and was back on the ship at 3:30 relaxing on the balcony.
Tonight is another until formal dinner at 8:15 we will probably attend depending on how tired we are. Right now we are a little hungry so we may go down and get some desserts to tide us over though, decisions, decisions!
