Black Friday is here and the holidays have officially kicked off. We spent our Black Friday hanging out at home, raking leaves and enjoying the spring like November day.
Around 1:00 we did go out for breakfast and sorta forgot that it was Black Friday that is until we stopped by Target and then TJ Max to look around and burn off some of the breakfast calories. Surprisingly it was not too bad out. I mean the parking lots were quite a bit fuller and there were a lot more people in the stores but nothing like I had expected especially since the weather was perfect out shoppers did not have to worry about driving in bad weather. I am not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing since everyone is worried about the holiday shoppers stimulating the economy.
Thanksgiving dinner
Our Thanksgiving dinner over at Dad and Cyndi's house was a lot of fun and the dinner was great as well. It's not easy to have everything done at the same time and get it all on the table for everyone to enjoy. My step-mom, Cyndi managed to pull it off for all 10 of us. About an hour and half later dessert rolled out with 2 choices of pie just as smoothly. We ended up staying until almost midnight sitting downstairs and playing Wii as we seem to always do. Actually most times we will try and play the Apples to Apples board game, but my sister Kelly had to make sure they left at a decent time because my nephew Cody was scheduled to work at Kohl's from 11:00 pm until 7:00 this morning. I checked in with Kelly tonight and she said he did great and everything went pretty good for him and his first time working a Black Friday. Whew, glad to hear that!
Tonight
Looks like my Apple Time Machine is being a shxt and giving me errors so my backups are not happening. Oh great, so that means I guess I will have to try and trouble shoot that dam thing tonight. Last time it was as simple as rebooting the device so lets hope that is all that it takes. I don't feel like going to Apple tomorrow and laying down $400 for a new one. It has worked great so far so lets hope its an easy fix. If not, it will be my project for tomorrow. If I have learned anything form Cicely its to not mess with that sort of thing later in the evening when you have better things to do. All it will do is stress you out when you have better things to spend your time on. Seems obvious I know, but for me its actually great advice, thanks Cizzle!
Once I determine if my Time Machine is worth messing with or not tonight there is not much else going on other than us planning to watch FRINGE and possibly rent a movie on Apple TV or Amazon instant video. I have a lot of stuff I could be doing like going through all of the photos and video from our Caribbean trip but I think I will save that for a snowy day.
As I write this I have my fuzzy kid snuggled up next to me and I will say its contagious because that is what I want to do as well. Cuddle up on the couch and relax for the rest of the night. I hear the rest of the weekend is supposed to have just as nice of weather so I am looking forward to that, maybe we can take Oggy over to the Sparks Marina in the morning for a nice long walk like we do in the summer.
