Nice Start

As I write this it's a nice start to the workweek. The weather is great outside, while a little cold a light jacket and short sleeves are all that is required to be comfortable. To be honest, unlike most, I actually really enjoy days like this, just cold enough to make you feel like snuggling up by the fire and reading a book or diving into a few rounds of Angry Birds, but not so cold that your nose freezes up when inhaling.

Last night Cicely and I stayed up clearing out most of the shows we had from vacation on the TiVo and then watching the new episode of Dexter. As anticipated, Dexter did not disappoint. I have to say that I think he is really spreading himself thin and letting far too many outsiders meet his "dark passenger". I am confident that his lackadaisical attitude will eventually bite him in the ass. Especially now that Lieutenant LaGuerta is slowly honing in on the possibility of Dexter being the Bay Harbor Butcher and not Sargent Doakes as the case ended up going down. It's going to be a very interesting season, I sure hope its not the last like many of my favorite weekly shows.

Once shows were finished I managed to stay up until much later than I care to admit playing Angry Birds Star Wars edition. My intent was to "play only a few levels until I get tired enough to fall asleep", yea that did not happen. It's a cool update to the game although more difficult than the previous updates. With the addition of weapons and methods for using them effectively Rovio has done a good job making it feel new vs. a re-skin like some of the other versions.

For the price ($2.99 if I remember correctly) it's totally worth it and will prove beneficial in passing time that may otherwise be ho-hum. You know, doctor visits, DMV lines and related. While I enjoy people watching as much as the next person, it doesn't always pass the time as efficiently.

In work news I assumed that the parking lot would be empty and most would be heading home for Thanksgiving and things would be relatively quiet. Much more the opposite actually and only a small amount out on vacation. I suppose most are saving time for Christmas and New Years. Wow I still can't believe how fast this year flew by! I know everyone says that by this time of the year but for me it really has gone fast! No matter its actually nice that there are so many here at work, it will give us a chance to keep moving forward on projects and not play "catch up" after the holidays.

Well as mentioned, its a really nice day out and unfortunately I will be stuck inside a grey walled cubicle for the majority of it. I think it would be in my best interest to go for a walk outside and enjoy the day for at least a few minutes, absorb vitamin D and take in fresh air.
